California Court of Appeal
People v. Nguyen, E048880
In an involuntary civil commitment proceeding under Wel. and Inst. Code section 6600 et seq., judgment and indeterminante commitment of defendant as a sexual violent predator is affirmed where although defendant had a due process right to be present at trial, waiver of his presence by counsel was harmless error, and the imposition of an indeterminate commitment term was not unconstitutional.
