California Court of Appeal

Best Interiors, Inc. v. Millie & Severson, Inc., B195253

An order denying a petition to compel arbitration is affirmed over claims that: 1) the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA) governed the underlying agreement, and it did not afford the trial court discretion to deny arbitration; and 2) even if California law applied, the trial court erred in refusing to order arbitration because there was no possibility of conflicting rulings.
