California Court of Appeal
People v. Sanders, B206569
Conviction for attempted murder and assault with a firearm and other related crimes is affirmed where: 1) questions the witness refused to answer on recross-examination concerned a collateral issue and not a material one, the witness was fully cross-examined on all subjects that were material, and there was no violation of defendant's federal constitutional rights to due process of law or to confront and cross-examine witnesses in the rulings on the witness's testimony; and 2) trial court did not err in imposing a full seven-year middle term sentence for the attempted murder in count 2.
