California Court of Appeal

In re R.C., A123675

An order of the juvenile court declaring the minor defendant a ward of the court is affirmed as the juvenile court had no occasion to exercise its jurisdiction to determine whether the defendant was suitable for Deferred Entry Judgment (DEJ) as he neither admitted or indicated his willingness to admit the felony offense charged, but rather admitted a misdemeanor offense, and at that point, the case was no longer before the juvenile court for a determination of whether he was a person described in section 602 because of the commission of a felony offense.
