People v. Rodriguez, F057533

Trial court's imposition of a sentence on a defendant convicted of second degree burglary and other crimes is affirmed where: 1) unlike in Estrada, there is no clear and compelling implication that the Legislature intended the amendatory statute at issue to apply retroactively; and 2) the prospective-only application of the 2010 amendment does not violate his constitutional guarantee of equal protection of the laws.
