People v. Singleton, B211975

Conviction of a police officer for assault and for filing a false report is affirmed where: 1) certain testimony did not violate the principles articulated in Kastigar v. US, 406 U.S. 441 (1972), regarding the treatment of witnesses exposed to compelled statements; and 2) the incident investigator was qualified to give the limited expert opinion he provided and defendant was not denied an opportunity to effectively cross-examine him.
