In a civil action arising out of domestic violence, trial court order denying plaintiff's motion to set aside an entry of default and subsequent default judgment against him is affirmed where: 1) service of process on plaintiff was proper as defendant complied with the statutory requirements for service of process; 2) plaintiff received proper service of the statement of damages; 3) trial court did not abuse its discretion in denying the motion to set aside the judgment on the basis of Code of Civil Pro. sec. 473.5; and 4) trial court did not err in refusing to grant relief on equitable grounds.
