Rental Hous. Ass'n. of N. Alameda Cty. v. Oakland, A114855

In a preemption challenge to a city eviction ordinance, partial summary judgment for defendant is reversed where state law preempted a section of the ordinance that shifted the burden of proof in eviction proceedings from tenant to landlord in violation of Cal. Evid. Code section 500, and affirmed as to the remainder of the ordinance.
