California Court of Appeal
Sandoval v. Los Angeles County Dep't of Pub. Soc. Servs., B200213
Former County employee unavailingly reprises his claims of civil rights violations and wrongful termination. Los Angeles County Code section 5.12.030, which directs but does not require the County employer to provide an absent employee with a notice that his continued absence shall constitute a resignation, does not violate due process because it does not purport to relieve the employer of the duty to provide the employee with notice after the employer has found that the factual basis for a resignation exists.
