California Court of Appeal
Crab Addison, Inc. v. Superior Court of Los Angeles County, B208142
In a class action against employer-plaintiff for failure to provide mandated meal periods and rest breaks, writ of mandate directing trial court to vacate two orders granting discovery to employee-real party in interest is denied where: 1) under Puerto v. Superior Court, the procedure chosen by the trial court was appropriate; and 2) the violation of the employees' right to privacy did not outweigh employee's right to discovery.
