In a case regarding an attorney's attempt to collect split fees from a client, dismissal is affirmed where: 1) plaintiff entered into a fee sharing agreement with another attorney to work on the client's case; 2) the client did not sign the fee sharing agreement; and 3) rule 2-200 of the Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar, which forbids fee sharing agreements not signed by the client, bars non-contractual causes of action against the client.
