Dobos v. Voluntary Plan Adm'rs, B199870

Denial of petition for writ of administrative mandate is affirmed where: 1) based on the plain language of the Los Angeles County Code provisions setting forth the terms and conditions of the Long Term Disability and Survivor Benefit Plan, plaintiff had to be employed by the County until the end of the qualifying period to be eligible for long-term disability benefits; and 2) it is undisputed that plaintiff's employment with the County terminated before the expiration of the qualifying period, thus she was not eligible for benefits under the County's plan.
