California Court of Appeal

Taheri Law Group v. Evans, B192828

In suit brought by attorney alleging another attorney improperly solicited his client, grant of defendant-attorney's anti-SLAPP motion is affirmed as the suit arose out of defendant's communications concerning pending litigation, and the causes of action were not excepted from the anti-SLAPP statute by the commercial speech exception. However, as defendant attorney represented himself, award of attorney's fees is reversed.
