California Court of Appeal

Casella v. SouthWest Dealer Servs., Inc., G036883

In suit alleging wrongful termination in violation of public policy, fraud, and fraudulent inducement of employment related to plaintiff's whistleblowing on defendants' alleged "payment packing," verdict for plaintiff is affirmed over defendants' claims that the court erred in: 1) refusing to dismiss plaintiff's wrongful termination in violation of public policy claim; 2) denying their motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict; 3) abusing its discretion in making evidentiary rulings which prejudiced them; 4) instructing the jury; and 5) denying their motion for a new trial.
