California Court of Appeal

Riverside Sheriff's Ass'n v. County of Riverside, E040921

Government Code section 3309.5 is not the exclusive ground for recovery of attorney-s fees in a Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights Act (POBRA) case. In an action brought under POBRA, an award of attorney's fees to the Riverside Sheriff-s Association (RSA) under Code of Civil Procedure section 1021.5 is affirmed as there was no abuse of discretion in the award of fees under that section.
