California Court of Appeal

In re Jaclyn S., A114754

Order terminating mother's parental rights is affirmed over claims of error in: 1) the appointment of a guardian ad litem for the mother; 2) failing to conduct a Marsden-type hearing after she expressed dissatisfaction with her attorney, and after she later asked for a new attorney; 3) finding by clear and convincing evidence that the child was adoptable, a necessary prerequisite to an order terminating parental rights; and 4) the county human services agency failed to notify all registered Cherokee tribes of her claim of Native American ancestry.
