Habeas petition challenging criminal conviction on corporal injury to a spouse is granted and conviction is reversed where defendant's counsel violated the attorney-client privilege by revealing to the court and prosecutor the content of his conversations with defendant. Defendant was effectively deprived of the assistance of counsel when his appointed counsel not only failed to advocate on his behalf, but advocated against his interests.
