County of San Bernardino v. Calderon, E040923

In case involving provision of medical care to defendant who was injured in a car accident, a holding that a hospital lien was created at the time the hospital gave notice to the responsible third party and, thus, gave priorty to earlier lien for attorney fees for defendant's attorney, is affirmed as the Hospital Lien Act does not provide that hospital liens have first priority over competing liens regardless of the time of creation of the lien.
