People v. Michael S., G036217

Mother assessed liability under a Welfare and Institutions Code section 730.7 restitution order, based on arson committed by her minor son, has a right of appeal from the order making her so liable. Victim's acceptance of payment from mother-s insurer in full release of all claims precludes any section 730.7 restitution liability on the part of the mother. An abstract of judgment filed against mother indicating that she was a -judgment debtor- should be expunged. Finally, a restitution order against son was correct, despite a civil release obtained by mother-s insurer on his behalf.
