Gillan v. City of San Marino, B182979

In case involving plaintiff's detention for the alleged sexual molestation of a minor, judgment against defendants city and former police officials is reversed in order for court to conduct new trial to determine compensatory damages for violation of Civil Code section 52.1 based on a false arrest. Denial of judgment notwithstanding the verdict is reversed as to defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress based on defendants' immunity.
