Under Penal Code section 12001(c), for purposes of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon "the term 'firearm' includes the frame or receiver of the weapon," and possession of the frame or receiver is sufficient, but not necessary, for a Penal Code section 12021(a)(1) violation.
