An Indep. Home Support Serv. v. Superior Ct. (State Comp. Ins. Fund), D048235
Petition for writ of mandate claiming that petitioner, a referral agency that provides domestic workers, is exempt from requirements of maintaining workers' compensation insurance for the domestic workers by complying Civil Code section 1812.5095, is granted. For purposes of workers' compensation, by complying with section 1812.5095, such referral agencies are deemed not to be the employers of the domestic workers they refer.
