Golden State Boring & Pipe Jacking, Inc. v. Orange County Water Dist., G035795

Denial of plaintiff subcontractor's writ petition, challenging defendant water district's decision to allow plaintiff to be substituted out of a public works contract, where plaintiff's unjustified intransigence constituted an unwillingness to execute a written subcontract for the scope of work specified in its sub-bid, is affirmed over claim that the general contractor had no right to insist on a performance bond in the subcontract, as it failed to make a statutory request for bond under Public Contract Code section 4108.
