Alhusainy v. Superior Ct. (People), G037152

Petition seeking order allowing withdrawal of guilty plea, on the basis that petitioner was not told of its direct consequences, is granted as condition requiring petitioner to leave the state was constitutionally improper, the plea required him to commit another felony, i.e., flee the jurisdiction to avoid sentencing, and on remand the case should be heard by another judge if petitioner requests it.
