California Court of Appeal
People v. Buchanan, F048022
Conviction and sentence for one count of carjacking, with special allegation of personal use of a knife during the offense, is affirmed over claims that: 1) the trial court erred in finding defendant had not established a prima facie case of group bias during jury selection; and 2) defendant's prior juvenile adjudications may not properly be utilized as strikes because he was not entitled to a jury trial during the juvenile proceedings.
