Judgment in favor of defendants following jury trial on plaintiff's action under 42 U.S.C. section 1983 is affirmed over claims that the trial court: 1) improperly instructed the jury regarding the definition of deadly force; 2) abused its discretion in excluding two reports concerning the conduct of the sheriff's department and the use of dogs in law enforcement; and 3) erred in dismissing plaintiff's third cause of action for liability under Civil Code section 52.1(b).
