California Court of Appeal

Shamsian v. Dep't of Conservation, B184680

Judgment dismissing a complaint and denying a mandate petition as to defendants in a case involving allegations that defendants failed to provide proper beverage container redemption opportunities for state consumers is affirmed where the district court correctly ruled that no mandatory duty was created for defendants by the relevant law, and equitable abstention principles barred plaintiff's unfair competition claims.
