California Court of Appeal

IN RE JORGE G., F043272

Gang-member registration under Penal Code section 186.30 is not punishment for due process purposes under Apprendi. The Street Terrorism Enforcement and Prevention Act provision requiring registration as a gang member by anyone convicted of, and anyone whose petition was sustained in juvenile court for, any crime found to be gang related is not unconstitutionally vague.
