PEOPLE v. SUPERIOR COURT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY (GERMAN), B170313
Because the six-year statute of limitations had not yet expired when Penal Code section 803(g) was enacted, that statute extended the limitations period, allowing for prosecution to be commenced within one year of the victim's police report. Application of the statute did not violate the ex post facto clause here.
