California Court of Appeal

Trial court correctly determined that defendant did not owe plaintiff a duty of care at the time of the events that caused her injuries. Education Code section 44808 neither requires nor permits the extension of a duty of care to the schools of California to supervise children properly dismissed from school until their parents arrive.
