California Court of Appeal

Insurance Code section 481, which states that unless an insurance contract "otherwise provides," a person insured is entitled to a return of premium if the policy is canceled, rejected, surrendered, or rescinded, did not apply to plaintiff's policy. Plaintiff's policy did "otherwise provide."
