NAVARETTE v. HOLLAND, D039489

In a suit by plaintiff, who was acquitted of spousal abuse charges in a prior criminal proceeding, against his ex-wife alleging she lied to police about his conduct, the wife's report to law enforcement officers is absolutely privileged (Civ. Code, section 47(b)), and thus the causes of action based on this allegation are barred.
