California Court of Appeal

DEP'T OF MOTOR VEHICLES v. SUPERIOR COURT OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES (THE PEOPLE), B156383

Vehicle Code section 1808.5 does not create a privilege to withhold information required to be produced by subpoena, and under the Evidence Code, the necessity for disclosure of complete driving records, in a prosecution for vehicular homicide, outweighs DMV's interest in preserving confidentiality.
