California Court of Appeal
HERMAN v. COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, B152534
When a Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) contract, entered into with the county for law enforcement services with the county sheriff, provided that the MTA and county must "meet and reach mutual agreement on the placement options" for MTA police officers who did not pass sheriff office review, the contract was not void for failure to reach agreement on an essential term, and did not create an unenforceable personal service obligation; appellant is entitled to employment with either the MTA or the county.
