ORDER

On July 14, 2026, pro se plaintiff Tikesha Williams filed a complaint against Capital One Auto Finance. Dkt. 1. To date, Williams has not paid a filing fee, filed an application to proceed in forma pauperis, or taken any other action to prosecute the case.

The court has the inherent power to dismiss a complaint sua sponte for want of prosecution or failure to follow its orders. Link v. Wabash R.R. Co., 370 U.S. 626, 630–32 (1962); see also Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(b).

It is ORDERED that Williams either pay the filing fee or file an application to proceed in forma pauperis within 30 days of the docketing of this order. If the plaintiff fails to do so, the court will recommend that all claims be dismissed without prejudice. If dismissal is satisfactory to the plaintiff, no further action is necessary.

It is further ORDERED that the clerk of court send a copy of this order to Williams by certified mail, return receipt requested.
