William Solomon LEWIS, Appellant v. The STATE of Texas
ORDER
The Court set bond in this case pursuant to a State's motion while the State's petition for discretionary review was pending. Lewis v. State, PD-0564-23 slip op (Tex. Crim. App. Jan. 31, 2024); Tex. Code Crim. Proc. Art 44.04(h). The Court later withdrew that opinion. Lewis v. State, PD-0564-23 slip op. (Tex. Crim. App. April 17, 2024).
The State has now filed a “Motion to Remove ‘Publish’ Designation from April 17 Opinion.” We deny the State's motion, withdraw our April 17, 2024 opinion, and reinstate our January 31, 2024 opinion except that it shall be titled and designated “Order” rather than “Opinion.” The reinstatement of our January 31 opinion as an order will have no effect on the current status of the case or on any bond currently set by the trial court.
IT IS SO ORDERED this 27th day of September, 2024.
Per curiam.
