MEMORANDUM OPINION
Original Mandamus Proceeding 1
On April 3, 2017, Relator filed a pro se petition for writ of mandamus seeking an order directing the trial court to rule on Relator's motions for appointment of counsel and “for preservation and forensic testing of DNA.” The court has considered the petition and is of the opinion Relator is not entitled to the relief sought. Accordingly, the petition for writ of mandamus is denied. See TEX. R. APP. P. 52.8(a).
