IN RE: PURPORTED MECHANICAL AND MATERIALMAN'S LIEN CLAIM OF LIEN AGAINST PELLICANO BUSINESS PARK, L.L.C.
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Rosa Serrano is attempting to appeal a commitment order and three contempt orders entered in a civil case. We dismiss the appeal for lack of jurisdiction.
A court of appeals does not have jurisdiction to hear an appeal from a contempt order. Beeler v. Fuqua, 351 S.W.3d 428, 433 (Tex.App.--El Paso 2011, pet. denied); see Ex parte Aldridge, 334 S.W.2d 161, 162 (Tex.Crim.App. 1959)(no appeal lies from contempt decree); In re Office of Attorney General of Texas, 215 S.W.3d 913, 916 (Tex.App.--Fort Worth 2007, orig. proceeding). A contempt order must be challenged in an original proceeding. Beeler, 351 S.W.3d at 434; In re B.A.C., 144 S.W.3d 8, 11 (Tex.App.--Waco 2004, no pet.). Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal for lack of jurisdiction.
