IN RE: Lakeith Amir-Sharif, Relator
MEMORANDUM OPINION
In this petition for writ of mandamus, relator requests that we order the district clerk and her deputy to file his motions. We possess jurisdiction to grant a writ of mandamus directed to the district clerk only if it is necessary to enforce our appellate jurisdiction. See Tex. Gov't Code Ann. § 22.221(a), (b) (West 2004); In re Simpson, 997 S.W.2d 939, 939 (Tex.App.—Waco 1999, orig. proceeding) (“The Government Code does not confer mandamus jurisdiction over District Clerks upon the courts of appeals.”). The conduct complained of does not interfere with the Court's ability to resolve a matter in any pending appeal. Accordingly, mandamus is not necessary to enforce our jurisdiction. See In re Moody, 93 S.W.3d 928, 929 (Tex.App.—Amarillo 2003, orig. proceeding).
We dismiss the petition for want of jurisdiction.
