LAWRENCE EUGENE DIXON, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Opinion By Justice Lang–Miers
Lawrence Eugene Dixon pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the trial court assessed punishment at twenty-five years' imprisonment and a $3000 fine. The trial court's certification of appellant's right to appeal states the case involves a plea bargain and appellant has no right to appeal. See Tex.R.App. P. 25.2(d). The certification is supported by the record before the Court. See Dears v. State, 154 S.W.3d 610, 614–15 (Tex.Crim.App.2005).
The State has filed a motion to dismiss the appeal for want of jurisdiction. Appellant did not respond to the motion. Because the record affirmatively shows we have no jurisdiction over the appeal, we grant the State's motion.
We dismiss the appeal for want of jurisdiction.
ELIZABETH LANG–MIERS JUSTICE
