IN THE INTEREST OF E.M.A., A CHILD
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Appellant is appealing the trial court's judgment signed on February 15, 2011. The clerk's record contains a notice of past due findings of fact and conclusions of law filed on March 25, 2011. In that notice, appellant states that she filed her request for findings of fact and conclusions of law on February 25, 2011. The clerk's record does not contain that document. Moreover, the cost bill in the clerk's record does not list any request for findings of fact and conclusions of law.
Appellant filed her notice of appeal on May 16, 2011. The notice of appeal is timely only if the request for findings of fact and conclusions of law was timely filed. See Tex.R.App. P. 26.1(a). By letter dated July 20, 2011, we informed appellant of the problem with the timeliness of her notice of appeal. We requested that she file, by August 1, 2011, a supplemental clerk's record containing appellant's request for findings of fact and conclusions of law. We cautioned appellant that her appeal may be dismissed if she failed to timely file the requested supplemental clerk's record.
As of today's date, appellant has not responded to our letter. Based on the clerk's record, appellant failed to timely file her notice of appeal. Without a timely filed notice of appeal, this Court lacks jurisdiction. See Tex.R.App. P. 25.1(b).
Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal for want of jurisdiction. See Tex.R.App. P. 42.3(a).
