NOEMI RUIZ, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Opinion By Justice Fillmore
After finding Noemi Ruiz guilty of the Class C misdemeanor offense of contributing to the nonattendance of her child at school, the jury assessed a $360 fine. See generally Tex. Educ.Code Ann. § 25.093 (West 2006). By order dated April 6, 2011, this Court ordered appellant, who is representing herself in this appeal, to file a brief within thirty days. We warned appellant that if she did not file brief within the time specified, we would, without further notice, submit the appeal without briefs. See Tex.R.App. P. 38.8(b)(4). To date, appellant has neither filed a brief nor communicated with the Court regarding the appeal. Therefore, the appeal is submitted without briefs. See id.
Absent briefs, no issues are before us. Finding no fundamental error, we affirm the trial court's judgment.
