IN RE: Daniel Crawford Patterson, Petitioner.
ORDER
By opinion dated August 25, 2021, this Court suspended Petitioner from the practice of law for a period of eighteen months, retroactive to the date of his interim suspension on March 21, 2017.1 In re Patterson, 434 S.C. 86, 862 S.E.2d 711 (2021). Petitioner was also administratively suspended for failing to pay his annual license fees and failing to comply with annual continuing legal education requirements. In re Admin. Suspensions for Failure to Pay License Fees, S.C. Sup. Ct. Order dated Feb. 21, 2017; In re Admin. Suspensions for Failure to Comply with Continuing Legal Educ. Requirements, S.C. Sup. Ct. Order dated Apr. 20, 2017. In April 2025, Petitioner filed two petitions for reinstatement, one pursuant to Rule 33, RLDE, Rule 413, SCACR, seeking reinstatement from his eighteen-month disciplinary suspension, and the other pursuant to Rule 419, SCACR, seeking reinstatement from his administrative suspensions. After referral to the Committee on Character and Fitness, the Committee has filed a report recommending the Court reinstate Petitioner to the practice of law.
Upon review of the entire record before the Court, we find Petitioner has demonstrated he meets the requirements of Rule 33(f), RLDE, and Rule 419(e), SCACR. Therefore, we grant the petitions and reinstate Petitioner as a regular member of the South Carolina Bar.
