IN RE: AUTHORIZATION OF CASE TYPE AE (2026)

ORDER

¶1 To distinguish cases initiated by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) for the expungement of “clean slate eligible records” as defined in 22 O.S. § 18b under the procedure set forth in 22 O.S. § 19d, the following electronic case type/prefix is directed for use in the District Courts of the State of Oklahoma:

¶2 The Court directs that the “AE” case type/prefix shall be used in cases initiated by the OSBI to expunge clean slate eligible records. 22 O.S. § 19d. The “CV” case type/prefix shall continue to be used in all other expungement cases including those filed by individuals by petition pursuant to 22 O.S. §§ 18 and 19.

¶3 The Oklahoma Court Information System (OCIS) is directed to program the AE case type/prefix for use by the district court clerks as soon as practicable to ensure their availability for use not later than October 1, 2026.

¶4 All filings shall follow the uniform system of designating and numbering cases prescribed for statewide use per SCAD 1999-87. Case numbers assigned shall be sequentially ordered and formatted in accordance with the uniform convention previously ordered by this Court.
