IN RE: Holly Amanda LARSON, an Attorney. (Attorney Registration No. 4995932)
MEMORANDUM AND ORDER ON MOTION
Holly Amanda Larson was admitted to practice by this Court in 2012 and lists a business address in San Diego, California with the Office of Court Administration. Larson now seeks leave to resign from the New York bar for nondisciplinary reasons (see Rules for Atty Disciplinary Matters [22 NYCRR] § 1240.22[a] ). The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department (hereinafter AGC) opposes the application by correspondence from its Deputy Chief Attorney.
As is noted by AGC, Larson is presently delinquent in her New York attorney registration requirements, having failed to register for the 2022–2023 and 2024–2025 biennial periods (see Judiciary Law § 468–a; Rules of Chief Admr of Cts [22 NYCRR] § 118.1). Further, by September 2026 order of this Court, Larson was suspended for her conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice arising from this failure to comply with her attorney registration obligations (––– AD3d ––––, ––––, 2026 N.Y. Slip Op 05248 [3d Dept 2026] ). Accordingly, she is ineligible for nondisciplinary resignation and her application must be denied (see Matter of Reichenberg, 250 AD3d 1230, 1230–1231 [3d Dept 2026]; Matter of Bomba, 146 AD3d 1226, 1226–1227 [3d Dept 2017] ). Larson's reinstatement to practice is a necessary prerequisite to any future application for leave to resign for nondisciplinary reasons that she may seek to file and any future application must also be supported by proof of her full satisfaction of the requirements of Judiciary Law § 468–a and Rules of the Chief Administrator of the Courts (22 NYCRR) § 118.1 (see Matter of Gee, 244 AD3d 1706, 1707 [3d Dept 2025] ).
ORDERED that Holly Amanda Larson's application for permission to resign is denied.
Per Curiam.
Pritzker, J.P., Ceresia, Powers, Cocoran and Ryba, JJ., concur.
