The PEOPLE of the State of New York, Respondent, v. Syed JAVED, Defendant-Appellant.
Judgment, Supreme Court, New York County (Carol Berkman, J.), rendered July 29, 2004, convicting defendant, after a jury trial, of enterprise corruption and conspiracy in the fourth degree, and sentencing him to an aggregate term of 1 2/323 to 5 years, unanimously affirmed.
Viewed as a whole, the non-accomplice evidence met the corroboration requirements of CPL 60.22 (see People v. Besser, 96 N.Y.2d 136, 726 N.Y.S.2d 48, 749 N.E.2d 727 [2001]; People v. Dory, 59 N.Y.2d 121, 128-129, 463 N.Y.S.2d 753, 450 N.E.2d 673 [1983]; People v. McAndris, 300 A.D.2d 1, 751 N.Y.S.2d 10 [2002], lv. denied 99 N.Y.2d 630, 760 N.Y.S.2d 111, 790 N.E.2d 285 [2003] ). The corroborative evidence included phone records and receipts that were rendered highly probative by their close proximity in time to significant events. Police observations provided additional corroboration.
Defendant's remaining contention is unpreserved (People v. George, 67 N.Y.2d 817, 819, 501 N.Y.S.2d 639, 492 N.E.2d 767 [1986] ), and we decline to review it in the interest of justice. Were we to reach this claim, we would find no basis for reversal.
