IN RE: DISCIPLINE OF ROBERT J. WALSH, BAR NO. 3836.
ORDER IMPOSING RECIPROCAL DISCIPLINE
This is a petition under SCR 114 to reciprocally discipline attorney Robert J. Walsh based on a reprimand from the Arizona State Bar for violations of the equivalent of RPC 1.3 (diligence), RPC 1.4 (communication), RPC 1.5 (fees), RPC 5.5 (unauthorized practice of law), and SCR 77 (membership in state bar required; exceptions). Walsh represented a client without being admitted to practice in Arizona, failed to communicate and perform substantive work, charged that client undisclosed fees, and then asserted an improper lien. In addition to the reprimand, the Arizona Supreme Court's Presiding Disciplinary Judge ordered Walsh to pay $1200 in costs to the Arizona State Bar for disciplinary proceedings. Walsh did not self-report the discipline and has not responded to the petition. See SCR 114(3).
None of the exceptions to imposing reciprocal discipline apply. See SCR 114(4) (listing the exceptions to imposing reciprocal discipline). Accordingly, we grant the petition for reciprocal discipline and hereby publicly reprimand attorney Robert J. Walsh for violating the above-listed rules of professional conduct. The parties shall comply with SCR 115 and SCR 121.1.
It is so ORDERED.
