JAIME OSEGUERA-VEGA, Appellant, v. THE STATE OF NEVADA, Respondent.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
This is a pro se appeal from a judgment of conviction. Second Judicial District Court, Washoe County; Lynne K. Jones, Judge.
This court's review of this appeal reveals a jurisdictional defect. Specifically, the district court entered the judgment of conviction on December 10, 2025. Appellant did not file his notice of appeal in the district court until June 14, 2026, well after the expiration of the 30-day appeal period prescribed by NRAP 4(b). Lozada v. State, 110 Nev. 349, 352, 871 P.2d 944, 946 (1994) (explaining that an untimely notice of appeal fails to vest jurisdiction in this court). Nor does it appear that appellant has been granted leave to file an untimely appeal under the procedure set forth in NRAP 4(c). Accordingly, this court lacks jurisdiction and this appeal is dismissed. This court takes no action in regard to appellant's pro se motion filed July 9, 2026.
It is so ORDERED.
