IN RE: THE PARENTAL RIGHTS AS TO A. B., A MINOR. AXEL S.-R., Appellant, v. CLARK COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY SERVICES; AND A. B., A MINOR, Respondents.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
This is a pro se appeal from an order terminating appellant's parental rights. Eighth Judicial District Court, Family Court Division, Clark County; Stephanie Charter, Judge.
On November 18, 2022, this court entered an order of limited remand directing the district court to consider the appointment of counsel for appellant pursuant to NRS 128.100(3) (permitting court to appoint counsel for a parent who is indigent). The district court subsequently informed this court that appellant failed to respond to the court's order to file a financial disclosure form or to appear at the hearing regarding the appointment of appellate counsel. Accordingly, on December 23, 2022, this court ordered that appellant would proceed pro se, and the court directed transmission of the record and reinstated the deadlines for filing documents. Appellant failed to file the transcript request form or the docketing statement as directed. See NRAP 14, NRAF 9(b). Accordingly, on January 24, 2023, this court entered an order directing appellant to file the docketing statement and transcript request form within 7 days. This court cautioned appellant that failure to timely comply with the order could result in the dismissal of this appeal. To date, appellant has failed to file the documents or otherwise communicate with this court. Additionally, the opening brief, which was due on February 1, 2023, is now overdue. This court concludes that appellant has abandoned this appeal, and
ORDERS this appeal DISMISSED.
