IN RE: the Resignation of Mary BARTELL, Bar No. 4525.
ORDER DISMISSING PETITION
This court received a joint petition for attorney Mary Bartell's resignation from the Nevada bar. Because the petition and affidavit of compliance with SCR 115 were not completed by Bartell and the certificate included with both documents was not in the form required for an acknowledgment in a representative capacity or an acknowledgment that contains a power of attorney, this court declined to take action on the petition until the individual who completed the documents purportedly on Bartell's behalf, Susan Henderson, provided Bartell's power of attorney. No response has been forthcoming. Under the circumstances, and rather than continue to allow this matter to remain stagnant on this court's docket, the petition will be denied because it does not comply with SCR 93(5), which governs resignation petitions.
It is so ORDERED.
